Donating Your TicketsIt’s a common scenario: The friend you bought a ticket for just called to say he has to go out of town, and the show is tomorrow. You’re not a member (Note: JAM members at Sponsor level and higher get free ticket exchange privileges allowing the return of tickets for exchange or credit toward a future show • learn more about membership) • and unfortunately, JAM doesn’t offer refunds. However, all is not lost there’s another option for you: If you are unable to make it to the show or have a ticket or two you won’t be able to use, then you may donate tickets back to JAM as a tax-deductible contribution. Since JAM is a non-profit organization, the face value of the tickets you return will be considered a tax-deductible donation to our organization. For your tax records, we will send a confirmation letter acknowledging the donation to the original ticket purchaser one to three weeks after the final season concert. In order get credit for your donation, you must provide us with the actual unused tickets or proof that the tickets are no longer valid (e.g. a fax of ripped tickets). Ticket donations by fax or mail are accepted no later than one day before the concert. After that time, you may only donate tickets by bringing them to the concert venue box office, which opens 90 minutes before show time. How to donate tickets by fax: Rip in half any tickets you wish to donate and make a photo copy of the ripped tickets (or tape the ripped tickets to a blank piece of paper). Then fax the paper showing the ripped tickets to the JAM Box Office at 801-272-2025. How to donate tickets by mail: Send your original tickets to the JAM Office, 515 East 4500 South, Suite G-100, Salt Lake City, UT 84107 How to donate tickets in person: Drop off your original tickets at the JAM Box Office during regular hours up to one day before the concert.
