What is your favorite thing about tap dance?
The rhythms and different sounds you can make. Also, how loud I can be.
Who is your favorite tap dancer and why?
Clayton “Peg-Leg” Bates. His determination to learn tap dance even with one leg always reminds me that no matter what, I can always keep tap dancing.
What are your favorite hobbies, other than dance?
reading, writing, drawing, and Robotics.
Do you have a favorite tap dance step? What is it/why?
I like the paddle or paradidle. It’s a simple step but it can be modified in so many ways.
What is your favorite performance you have ever been a part of?
A Very Jazzy Nutcracker. Being Clara and the Toy Dinosaur was so much fun!
What is your favorite thing about being a member of a tap dance company?
I love the connections I make with not only the members of the company, but the connections I make with other tap dancers worldwide. Tap dancers are a tight knit group, and I never would’ve been in that community if I hadn’t joined Rhythm Nation.
What things influence your tap dance style?
Rhythms that I hear in songs, coaches, and the vibe that I have.
What future goals do you have for yourself?
College, teaching, assisting, etc. I plan to go to college and major in Physical Therapy and minor in Dance so that I can teach people the art of tap dance!
